Nocpix RICO 3 H50R Thermal Rifle Scope

The Nocpix RICO 3 H50R is built for hunters who want the image scale and reach of a 50 mm thermal scope without paying for every flagship feature found on the RICO 3 PRO.

Its 640×512, 12-micron thermal sensor is paired with a 50 mm f/1.0 objective lens and 3× native magnification. That combination gives hunters more target detail at distance than the 2× H35R, making the H50R particularly useful in open fields, pastures and agricultural ground.

The tradeoff is field of view. At 8.8° × 7.0°, the H50R is narrower than the H35R. That helps provide a larger-looking target at distance, but it is less forgiving when trying to locate moving animals at close range.

640×512 thermal sensor

The 640×512 sensor provides greater image detail than the 384×288 L35R, particularly when digital magnification is applied. The 12-micron detector has a manufacturer-listed sensitivity of ≤15 mK and operates at a 60 Hz refresh rate.

3× base magnification and 8× digital zoom

The H50R begins at 3× native magnification and provides up to 8× digital zoom, resulting in an available magnification range of 3× to 24×.

Unlike the PRO H50R, the standard H50R does not include 2× ocular zoom or autofocus. Objective focus is adjusted manually through the focus knob.

Integrated 1,600-yard laser rangefinder

The integrated LRF is rated for distances up to 1,600 yards. It supports single and continuous ranging, helping hunters determine distance without adding a separate rangefinder to the rifle setup.

Actual ranging performance will depend on the target’s size, shape, reflectivity, angle and environmental conditions.

Onboard ballistic calculator

The multi-variable ballistic calculator can provide an aiming solution following a single range measurement. Multiple rifle profiles and zero distances can be stored for hunters who move the optic between rifles or use different ammunition.

Ballistic calculation is not available while continuous-ranging mode is active.

Circular AMOLED display

The RICO 3 uses a 1.03-inch circular AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560×2560. Available color palettes include:

Recording and storage

The H50R includes:

Battery and charging

The H50R uses removable NBP-8 lithium-ion battery packs. Two batteries are included, and each is rated for up to 10 hours of operation.

Charging options include:

• Direct USB-C charging of the battery
• Magnetic charging through the scope
• USB-C charging through the scope
• Compatible 5V external power supply or power bank

Mounting and construction

The RICO 3 H50R includes a dual-throw quick-detach Picatinny mount. Its magnesium-alloy housing is IP67 rated and manufacturer-rated for recoil up to 1000 g/s², referencing .300 Win. Mag. and 7 mm Magnum recoil classes.

The H50R weighs 32.77 ounces, approximately 9.36 ounces less than the 42.13-ounce PRO H50R.
