Who this is for
Best for
Best for coyote, hog and predator hunters working mixed terrain who want premium 640-resolution image quality with a wider field of view than the H50R. It is especially well suited for: Typical hunting distances of 50–200 yards Creek bottoms, timber edges and brush Smaller crop fields and mixed terrain Following moving coyotes or hogs Hunters who use the rifle scope for occasional scanning Buyers who want 640 resolution without moving into a 50 mm optic First-time premium thermal buyers who want an all-around setup
Not ideal for
Not ideal for hunters who primarily shoot at extended distances across large, open fields and want the larger-looking native image provided by a 3×, 50 mm scope.

Full product description
Nocpix RICO 3 H35R Thermal Rifle Scope
The Nocpix RICO 3 H35R is built for hunters who want premium 640-resolution image quality without giving up the wider field of view that makes a thermal scope easier to use in real hunting conditions.
Its 640×512, 12-micron thermal sensor is paired with a 35 mm f/1.0 objective lens and 2× native magnification. This gives the H35R a wider 12.6° × 10.1° field of view, making it easier to locate animals, follow movement and maintain awareness around the target.
For hunters working creek bottoms, timber edges, pastures, smaller crop fields and mixed terrain, the H35R is generally the most flexible RICO 3 configuration.
640×512 thermal sensor
The H35R uses the same 640×512 sensor resolution as the standard H50R. It provides stronger image detail than the 384×288 L35R, especially when digital magnification is used.
The sensor operates at 60 Hz with a manufacturer-listed sensitivity of ≤15 mK. Reality+ image processing supports automatic image optimization and advanced image correction.
2× base magnification and wide field of view
The H35R starts at 2× native magnification and provides up to 8× digital zoom, producing an available magnification range of 2× to 16×.
The lower starting magnification is not a downgrade for every hunter. It provides a wider view and generally makes it easier to:
- Locate approaching animals
- Follow coyotes moving across the field
- Find a target after mounting the rifle
- Hunt in tighter terrain
- Scan without immediately feeling over-magnified
The tradeoff is less native image scale than the 3× H50R at longer distances.
Integrated 1,600-yard laser rangefinder
The integrated laser rangefinder is rated for distances up to 1,600 yards. It supports both individual measurements and continuous ranging, allowing hunters to determine distance without mounting a separate rangefinder.
Actual rangefinder performance varies based on target size, surface reflectivity, angle and environmental conditions.
Onboard ballistic calculator
The H35R includes a multi-variable ballistic calculator that can generate an aiming solution after an individual range measurement.
Multiple zeroing profiles and distances can be stored for different rifles, ammunition or setups. Ballistic calculation is not active while continuous rangefinding is being used.
Circular AMOLED display
The H35R uses a 1.03-inch circular AMOLED display with a 2560×2560 resolution. Available color palettes include:
- White Hot
- Black Hot
- Red Hot
- Rainbow
- Violet
- Crimson
- Viridian
Picture-in-picture mode can provide a magnified aiming window while preserving the wider base image around it.
Recording, photography and storage
The H35R includes:
- Still-image capture
- Standard video recording
- Recoil-activated video
- Microphone support
- 64 GB of internal storage
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- Nocpix app compatibility
- Image and video transfer through the app
The standard RICO 3 manual confirms both photography and video recording, with files saved to the internal 64 GB storage.
Battery and charging
The H35R uses removable NBP-8 lithium-ion battery packs. Two batteries are included, and each is rated for up to 10 hours of operation.
Charging options include:
- Direct USB-C charging of the battery
- Magnetic charging through the scope
- USB-C charging through the scope
- Operation from a compatible 5V power bank or external supply
The manual confirms two rechargeable NBP-8 batteries with up to 10 hours of operation per pack.
Mounting and construction
The H35R includes a dual-throw quick-detach Picatinny mount. Its magnesium-alloy housing is rated IP67 and manufacturer-rated for recoil up to 1000 g/s², with .300 Win. Mag. and 7 mm Magnum listed as reference recoil classes.
At 29.10 ounces, the H35R is approximately 3.67 ounces lighter than the standard H50R and 13.03 ounces lighter than the PRO H50R.
