Nocpix RICO 3 PRO H50R Thermal Rifle Scope

The Nocpix RICO 3 PRO H50R sits at the top of the RICO 3 family. It is a rifle-mounted thermal optic built for hunters who value image scale, long-distance ranging and a more automated shooting system over minimum weight or maximum field of view.

At its core is a 640×512, 12-micron thermal sensor paired with a 50 mm f/1.0 objective lens and 3× native magnification. This combination gives the PRO H50R more image scale than the 2× H35R and makes it better suited to open fields, agricultural ground and longer shot opportunities. The tradeoff is a narrower 8.8° × 7.0° field of view, so it is not as forgiving when searching for moving animals at close range.

Autofocus and Ocular Zoom

The primary difference between the RICO 3 PRO and the standard RICO 3 H50R is the PRO focusing and viewing system. Autofocus uses information from the integrated rangefinder to adjust focus at the press of a button. Manual focus remains available when environmental conditions or the target require additional adjustment.

The scope also combines 2× ocular zoom with 4× digital zoom. Starting from the 3× native image, the combined system provides an available magnification range up to 24×. The included remote control can operate key functions without requiring the hunter to reach forward and disturb the rifle position.

Integrated Rangefinder and Ballistic Calculator

The integrated laser rangefinder is rated for distances up to 1,600 yards and supports both single and continuous ranging. The onboard multi-variable ballistic calculator can provide an aiming solution after a single range measurement.

Ballistic calculation is not active during continuous-ranging mode, so hunters using ballistic correction will generally perform an individual measurement before taking the shot.

Display and Recording

A 1.03-inch circular AMOLED display provides a 2560×2560 viewing interface. The optic includes 64 GB of internal storage, video recording, recoil-activated video, Wi-Fi connectivity and media transfer through the Nocpix app.

Still-image capture appears in some sell-sheet material but is not consistently listed in the PRO manual. We should not advertise photo capture until Nocpix confirms it.

Power and Charging

The PRO uses removable NBP-8 lithium-ion battery packs. The manual’s technical table and charging section state that two packs are included, with each pack rated for up to 10 hours of operation. Batteries can be charged directly through USB-C, while the scope supports magnetic charging, USB-C charging and operation from a compatible 5V external power source.

Mounting and Construction

The RICO 3 PRO includes a dual-throw quick-detach Picatinny mount. Its magnesium-alloy housing is rated IP67 and tested for recoil up to 1000 g/s², with the manufacturer referencing .300 Win. Mag. and 7 mm Magnum class recoil.

The complete optic weighs 42.13 ounces. That is substantial for a rifle-mounted thermal, and buyers should account for rifle balance before choosing it over one of the lighter standard RICO 3 models.
