Full product description
All-in-One Tactical Laser Sight with Visible, Infrared, and Illumination
The RIX Tactical RIP-3C is a multi-function laser sight that combines a green visible laser, an infrared aiming laser, a VCSEL infrared illuminator, and a white LED illuminator into a single compact, ruggedized housing. Built around a lightweight aluminum body weighing approximately 8 ounces, the RIP-3C delivers day-and-night targeting capability for hunters, sport shooters, ranch operators, and tactical professionals who need a single device that handles both visible aiming and night vision aiming.
The RIP-3C mounts to any standard M1913 Picatinny rail with a low-profile design that sits lower than most other laser sights, leaving more rail real estate for other accessories.
Co-Aligned Lasers for Simplified Zeroing
The visible green laser and the infrared laser are coaxially aligned, meaning when you zero one, you zero both. Windage and elevation adjustments are made via 0.25 mil per click with ±20 mil of total travel tactile, positive clicks that can be turned with the rim of a single cartridge case in the field. No extra tools required.
VCSEL IR Illuminator with Adjustable Spot Size
The VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) IR illuminator delivers stable, even illumination with an adjustable divergence of 45 to 140 mrad. The IR aiming laser stays precisely centered within the IR illumination spot regardless of beam width adjustment, giving you covert precision when paired with night vision goggles.
Key Features
Green visible laser 520 ± 15nm, less than 5mW, Class 3a Infrared aiming laser 820 ± 15nm, less than 3mW, Class 3a VCSEL infrared illuminator 850 ± 15nm, less than 3mW, Class 3a Visible white LED illuminator less than 120 lumens IR illuminator divergence adjustable from 45 to 140 mrad Co-aligned visible and IR lasers for simultaneous zeroing 0.25 mil click windage and elevation adjustment with ±20 mil total travel Range up to 550 yards for both visible green laser and IR laser IR illuminator effective out to 170 yards M1913 Picatinny mil-standard mount with low-profile design Lightweight aluminum alloy housing 1000G impact resistance for hard-use durability IP67 rated waterproof and dust-tight Master switch on top of housing plus crane switch port for remote pressure pad operation Rotary gear knob selects between operating modes Operating temperature range from -4°F to +122°F Powered by a single CR123A battery

Common Use Cases
Night hunting where pairing with night vision goggles requires both an IR aiming laser and IR illumination Daytime tactical applications using the visible green laser for rapid target acquisition Property and ranch security operations requiring both visible and covert aiming capability Search and rescue applications in low-light conditions Range training and night-fire qualification Helmet-mounted or weapon-mounted illumination for navigation in unlit environments
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the IR laser and the IR illuminator?
The IR laser is an aiming point a precise dot on the target visible only through night vision. The IR illuminator floods the area with infrared light to make the target zone visible through night vision, similar to a flashlight that only shows up under NV. The RIP-3C has both, and they're co-aligned so the IR laser stays centered in the illuminator beam regardless of how wide you adjust the illuminator divergence.
Is the green laser visible during the day?
Yes. The 520nm green visible laser is significantly more visible to the human eye than red lasers and remains useful in daylight conditions, though peak visibility is in low-light environments.
How is the RIP-3C powered?
A single CR123A battery powers all functions of the RIP-3C.
How are the lasers zeroed?
The visible and IR lasers are coaxially aligned, meaning zeroing one zeros both. Windage and elevation adjustments are made via 0.25 mil per click with ±20 mil of total travel. The adjustment dials can be turned with the rim of a single cartridge case in the field.
Can I use a remote pressure switch?
Yes. The RIP-3C includes a pressure switch in the box, and the housing has a crane switch port for remote operation in addition to the master switch on top of the unit.
What rails does it mount to?
The RIP-3C mounts to any standard M1913 Picatinny rail.
Is the RIP-3C waterproof?
Yes. The RIP-3C is rated IP67, providing full dust protection and protection against temporary water submersion.
How impact-resistant is the housing?
The aluminum alloy housing is rated for 1000G of impact resistance.
Is the RIP-3C ITAR-restricted?
Yes. The RIP-3C is an ITAR-controlled item under U.S. federal export law. Sales are restricted to U.S. persons as defined under 22 CFR § 120.15. Export outside the United States is prohibited without proper licensing.
