Full product description

The Nocpix Ace H50 is the 640-sensor non-LRF step up in Nocpix's Ace thermal rifle scope family the same scope as the Ace H50R minus the integrated laser rangefinder, for hunters who want 640 image quality on the Ace platform but already run a handheld rangefinder or don't need integrated ranging. It pairs a 640—512 thermal sensor with a 50 mm F/0.9 germanium objective lens and the full Ace platform: 2,560 — 2,560 round AMOLED display, the signature 1— to 3— optical ocular magnifier, Vision+ and Reality+ image processing, and a hot-swappable dual-battery system that runs indefinitely with spare 18650s. New for 2025 alongside the L35 the affordable entry into the Ace line for hunters who don't need LRF or 1280 resolution.

The H50 is built around the same principle as the rest of the Ace family: a thermal scope that feels like a traditional day optic. 30 mm tube, standard mounts and rings, familiar shooter ergonomics but with a 640 sensor and the Ace platform's signature ocular magnifier doing the image-quality work most thermal scopes in this price range can't match.

The Ace family how the H50 fits

The Ace series is a four-model tiered family on a shared platform. The naming code tells you what you're getting: L = 384 sensor, H = 640 sensor, S = 1280 sensor. The number that follows is the objective lens size in millimeters. An R at the end indicates an integrated laser rangefinder.

  • Ace L35 384—288 sensor, 35 mm lens, no LRF. Entry point into the Ace platform.
  • Ace H50 640—512 sensor, 50 mm lens, no LRF. 640 image quality at the lower price point.
  • Ace H50R same 640—512 sensor and 50 mm lens, with the integrated 1,200 m laser rangefinder added.
  • Ace S60R 1280—1024 sensor, 60 mm lens, with integrated 1,300-yard LRF. The flagship.

Step up from the L35 to the H50 when you want a 640 sensor for finer detail and longer reach. Step up from the H50 to the H50R when you want the same 640 image with integrated ranging built in. Step up to the S60R when 1280 resolution is the deciding factor. Stay with the H50 when you want 640 image quality at the lower price and don't need LRF in the scope.

Why the Ace platform is different

The Ace was built around feedback from hunters who wanted a thermal scope that handles like a day optic not a digital-first device with a tube housing wrapped around it. Three things make the Ace platform genuinely different at its price:

  • 30 mm tube, standard rings. The Ace mounts and feels like a conventional precision rifle scope. Compatible with bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles using standard 30 mm mounts and rings no proprietary mounting system, no learning curve from your daytime setup.
  • 1— to 3— optical ocular magnifier. Most thermal scopes use digital zoom only which softens the image as you zoom in. The Ace has a true optical ocular magnifier that magnifies the display itself, with no reticle shift and no digital zoom degradation. On the H50, that means 3— base magnification can stretch to 9— pure optical magnification through the ocular zoom before any digital zoom enters the picture.
  • Hot-swappable dual battery system. An internal USB-C-charged battery plus a removable 18650. The internal keeps the scope running while you swap the 18650 no power-off, no losing your zero, no missed shot waiting for a recharge. The unit's lock-out USB-C port design also lets you charge through the scope itself.

What you get with the Ace H50

  • 640 — 512 thermal sensor with 12 μm pixel pitch, 60 Hz refresh rate. Nocpix's Gen-2 HD sensor architecture in the 640 class. The step up from a 384 roughly 2.3— the pixel count, meaningfully finer thermal resolution at distance.
  • NETD 15 mK. Sharp thermal contrast and clean edge definition on warm bodies against cooler backgrounds meaningful in fog, light rain, or marginal heat conditions.
  • 50 mm F/0.9 germanium objective lens. The F/0.9 aperture gathers about 20% more light than F/1.0 lenses common at this price brighter, sharper imaging at distance.
  • 3— base magnification, 3—–24— total range with digital zoom. Plus the 1—–3— optical ocular magnifier on top of that, for true optical magnification through the eyepiece.
  • 1— to 3— optical ocular magnifier magnifies the AMOLED display itself without reticle shift or digital zoom softening.
  • Vision+ image processing system. Pairs the 2,560 — 2,560 AMOLED display with the 640 sensor for the most detailed image the H50's hardware can produce.
  • Reality+ image processing. Eliminates environmental temperature noise, sharpens contrast and edge definition.
  • 2,560 — 2,560 round AMOLED display, 1.03 inch. Flagship-tier display across the entire Ace lineup.
  • 2,850 yard detection range. Over a mile and a half of heat-signature detection capability with the 50 mm lens.
  • 60 Hz refresh rate for smooth real-time imaging on moving targets.
  • 64 GB onboard storage for photo and video capture.
  • Wi-Fi connectivity and Nocpix app integration for remote viewing, file transfer, and remote scope control.
  • Dual battery system: internal 4,000 mAh rechargeable + removable 18650. Hot-swappable for indefinite runtime. Lock-out USB-C port for in-scope charging.
  • T-6063 aluminum construction. IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof.
  • Recoil rated for up to .300 Win Mag / 7 mm Magnum.
  • 30 mm tube compatible with standard mounts and rings.
  • QD mount included.
  • Manufacturer warranty (Nocpix).

Who the Ace H50 is built for

Frequently asked questions

Where does the H50 fit in the Ace family?

The H50 is the non-LRF 640 in the four-model Ace series. The "H" signals the 640 sensor tier; the "50" is the 50 mm objective lens. Below it sits the L35 (384 entry tier); above it sit the H50R (same scope with integrated LRF) and the S60R flagship (1280 sensor).

What's the difference between the Ace H50 and the H50R?

The H50 and H50R share the exact same scope same 640—512 sensor, 50 mm F/0.9 lens, 3—–24— magnification, ocular magnifier, AMOLED display, battery system, and platform. The H50R adds a built-in 1,200 m laser rangefinder integrated into the front lens. Choose the H50 if you already use a handheld rangefinder or don't need integrated ranging; choose the H50R if you want LRF built in.

What's the difference between the H50 and the L35?

The H50 steps up to a 640—512 sensor with a 50 mm lens (vs. the L35's 384—288 sensor and 35 mm lens). The 640 sensor delivers finer thermal detail and better target identification at distance, and the 50 mm lens adds reach (2,850 yd vs. 1,800 m). Both share the full Ace platform. Step up to the H50 when you want the image-quality jump and added reach.

Why does the H50 feel like a regular day scope?

The Ace family is built around a 30 mm tube housing the same tube diameter standard daytime precision rifle scopes use. That means it mounts in standard 30 mm rings or one-piece mounts, fits on bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles with no proprietary mounting hardware, and handles much like the daytime optics you're already used to.

What's the 1— to 3— ocular magnifier and why does it matter?

The ocular magnifier is a true optical magnifier inside the eyepiece that magnifies the AMOLED display itself separate from the digital zoom. The result is more magnification without the image softening that happens when you push digital zoom on a thermal scope. On the H50, the 3— base magnification combined with up to 3— ocular zoom gives you 9— pure optical magnification before any digital zoom enters the picture. That's a meaningful image-quality differentiator at this price point.

Will the H50 hold up to magnum calibers?

Yes. The H50 is recoil-rated up to .300 Win Mag and 7 mm Magnum appropriate for the long-range hunting calibers most predator and coyote hunters at this scope's price level are running. The T-6063 aluminum construction and IP67 sealing are built for the field.

What about the battery system can it really run indefinitely?

Yes, with how the dual system is designed. The internal 4,000 mAh battery charges via USB-C; the external is a removable 18650. While the internal battery keeps the scope running, you can swap the 18650 out for a charged one. As long as you have spare 18650s in your pack, the scope keeps running through the swap. The lock-out USB-C port also lets you charge through the scope itself when you have external power available.

Does the H50 record video?

Yes. Photo, video, and audio recording is included, with 64 GB of onboard storage. Wi-Fi connectivity and the Nocpix app let you transfer files to your phone and view the scope remotely.

What mount comes with the H50?

A QD (quick-detach) mount is included with the scope. The 30 mm tube also accepts any standard 30 mm rings or one-piece mount if you prefer your own setup.

Is the H50 waterproof?

Yes. The H50 is rated IP67 sealed against dust ingress and rated for water immersion. Built for rain, snow, and adverse weather.

What's the warranty?

Nocpix backs the Ace H50 with their standard manufacturer warranty.
