Rains County Big Pig Contest Rules 2026

1. All contestants must hunt together; this means you do not hunt separate spots or pool animals in any way between teammates.

2. Pigs must be hunted not caught; this is a hunting contest.

3. No use of dogs, traps, snares or any other source of “catching” a pig.

4. All hunters must follow all Texas Laws (please be aware of laws)

5. No pinned, raised or fed out animals.

6. No bar hogs, (castrated)

7. No helicopters, High Fence, pinned in any way.

8. No solicitation of pigs, (offering winnings for someone to put you on a big pig)

9. Pigs must be weighed within 24hr of time killed in Emory Texas.

10. Must dispose of animal the correct way (no dumping) this will result in disqualification

11. Polygraph must be completed before any winnings are paid out.

12. Rains County Predator Hunt judges have the right to check suspicious animals, question or refuse any teams if deemed necessary.

13. No cheating! Trespassing, Drama, Social media bashing, this event is being set up to have some fun!

14. Valid Texas Hunting license must be obtained by all teammates even if you’re hunting Oklahoma. All Teammates no exceptions.

15. Property owners, kids are welcome to ride along just can not help in the pursuit, kill, load of a qualified animal.

16. All team members must be registered and paid, $420 online, $400 in person registration. Up to 4 people on a single team.
